As one of the club members that has provided their email address, we are sending this to you to advise of a change in our distribution of the club's newsletter. At the last club meeting we discussed the use of the website as the source for our bi-monthly newsletter. This provides several advantages over a direct mailing.

For example:

1.    If all members with an Internet connection receive the newsletter electronically, we can reduce our mailing expense by over 50%

2.    It will *significantly* reduce the printing, folding and labeling efforts of Bill Heying

3.    It will reduce our printing and paper costs

4.    It will provide you with a color version of the newsletter

5.    You can save the newsletter electronically, print it out, or just read it and do nothing else.

Here's how it will work:

1.    Henry Horrocks will send Murray a PDF copy of the newsletter

2.    Murray will post it on the website:  www.rcmb.org

3.    Once posted, an email will be sent to you advising that the newsletter is available

4.    The website address will be part of the email, as per #2 above, and all you need to do is click on that to get to the website.

5.    You will need a version of the program "Adobe Acrobat Reader" on your computer. This is a free program which most computers already come with when new. It can also be obtained at: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

It will be YOUR decision if you wish to obtain the newsletter by this method. If you still want to receive a printed copy, please let me know ASAP by reply to this email. Your reply will keep you on the "Mail" list.
